Years ago (around 2005, I think) I watched a documentary on Channel 5 about the debate about whether the Apollo moon landings were faked. If you are wondering about my stance on this subject, I'm in the "they did it for real" camp. One scientist form the "it was all faked" camp (I think he was an amateur or some engineering expert, I can't remember exactly) was arguing that no one could have been to the Moon because the vacuum of space would have made it impossible for them to do intercalate things with their gloved hands. The interviewer said to him that he was committing an "act of vandalism" to a piece of American culture. He then said he would like to be called that (a "cultural vandal") and have it printed on a bumper sticker on his car.
I liked that - a "cultural vandal." And that is how I came to call my posts "acts of cultural vandalism."
Excluding the ones about dead people (They got their own page here), here's the whole list of my crimes against culture.
Please note that some of the posts listed here were originally not called "acts of cultural vandalism" but can be seen as one.
